Ana María Cruz Acevedo
Ana María has a degree in Social Work from the University of Costa Rica and is currently studying Psychology. She is the social worker of Árbol de Esperanza since 2018. She is in charge of the coordination, preparation, follow-up and development of socio-educational groups.
Some of its functions include providing individual attention and follow-up, carrying out social reports, inter-institutional references or socioeconomic studies, executing and designing awareness-raising workshops on gender, as well as coordinating internships and volunteering of Social Work students. She is our representative before the Network Against Violence in the West.
It has experiences in the area of research, socio-educational processes, development of social and organizational skills, with different age groups specifically with minors, young people, women and older adults and interdisciplinary teams, preparation of social reports , Surveys and socioeconomic studies. Organizational skills in social research and regional events.

Provides professional services on issues of gender perspectives, sexual diversity, sexual and reproductive health, the cycle of violence and its prevention, life skills among others.
In his spare time he likes to investigate related topics such as sociocultural management, he likes to walk in the mountains, search for amphibians and waterfalls. She is passionate about reading, writes poetry, takes classes in contemporary dance and theater.
